We are close to releasing our new headless CMS offering to the public. We still have some work to do to complete the tenant and billing process. Hopefully by the end of 2022, however it is dependent upon other commitments, we will be able to launch a new CMS experience for users.

Why another CMS? We have been developing software for various applications for the past 2 decades. In the last 15 year focusing on web development we kept hitting the same problems with content, agility of template changing, front end technology choice is locked into the CMS, vendor lock-in, vendor process flow, software that tried to do more than the required need, and as a result of this expensive and rigid plans for smaller customers.

The concept of a Headless CMS isn't a new one, this is just our take on the implementation. A Headless CMS keeps the templates and data that makes up a page separate from the technology stack that renders it. What this allows is the freedom for developers of your front end stack to choose any technology they want to work with, using the latest frameworks, or technologies, knowing the data is managed for them and can be changed easily.

We have created a CMS that is focused on just that, if you have a complex application domain like most businesses, you can keep that as it is, and absorb our CMS seamlessly into your tech stack. The ability to create your own custom controls to integrate into the CMS allows you to create forms specific to your business. Want to do something new and magical with your data that we cannot offer? We provide webhooks for data changes which will allow you to take your data and apply it to any application you can think of.

The following example demonstrates the workflow between templates, components and content:
